  • A 300-500 word essay about your work experience, how it relates to the award you are applying for, and what you hope to accomplish if selected for the Legacy Awards experience.
  • 1-2 page Resumé or CV including relevant work and volunteer experience, education, awards, etc.
  • Two letters of recommendation from industry professionals /mentors.

TERMS FOR WINNERS:
If selected, you agree to the following:
1. Allow LDEI and the Julia Child Foundation to promote and publicize the award as they see fit, including using the Winners’ headshots, photos, videos, and essays.
2. Immediately contact your award host and Career Oversight Experience Dame to confirm a mutually agreeable starting and ending dates for the experience.
3. Provide a hi-res, digital headshot no later than May 15, 2026.
4. Finalize your travel arrangements with our preferred travel agent no later than May 15, 2026.
5. Post on social media during experience, including a photo with your host/s in at least one post, and at least one short (5-15 second) video in another post.
6. Complete the Legacy Expense Report and provide scanned copies of all original, preapproved travel receipts for reimbursement within two weeks of your experience. You will not be reimbursed for late expense reports or those without receipts.
7. Within one month of completing your experience, submit a 500-word essay about your experience to your Career Oversight Experience Dame, along with at least 10 hi-res photos, including a photo with your Dame host/s.
8. Attend the LDEI Conference and Legacy Luncheon 2027, as our guest. Travel, hotel, and conference fees will be covere

Due to the nature of food and beverage production facilities, animals, including those for comfort or emotional support, cannot be accommodated.

Acceptance of this award signifies agreement with the TERMS FOR WINNERS and signifies that you will fulfill all responsibilities as stated on this application.
